Bikram Yoga (Hot Yoga)
Bikram Choudhury invented Bikram Yoga. It
involves 26 poses done in a room that is kept between 90 and 100 degrees
Fahrenheit. You hold each pose for a set period and typically perform each
pose twice. Along with the poses, you also use Kapalabhati Breath or the
"breath of fire."
The Use of Heat in Bikram
Heat will let you do the poses in Bikram
safer. It makes the body more flexible and you will be able to go deeper
into the positions. You can probably do poses that you have no idea you
are able to do. The heat will also cause you to sweat. Sweating releases
toxins trapped in your body.
Benefits of Bikram Yoga
Every pose you perform in Bikram is designed
to strengthen your muscles and stretch and strengthen your ligaments and
joints.
Through the use of heat and special poses, Bikram helps release toxins
trapped in your body and your internal organs.
Through the use of heat and stretching, reduce stress and restore order to
your body and mind.
Bikram is for Every One
Because of the use of heat, everyone can
easily perform Bikram. The heat makes you more flexible and will allow
even amateurs to achieve amazing results.
